DOs and DON'Ts of Travel (Things I learnt overtime)

I was thinking on what to write next and I realised that there is such a need of Dos and Dont's of travel, so here I am trying to cover some of the tips which I think are very important to keep in mind while travelling!

So before starting the list one thing that I really want to share, moreover urge people to follow, is to keep the surroundings clean of which ever place you go and also please try to always pick up some pieces of trash you find on beaches or mountains or on roads/sidewalk.

Regarding this issue I want to draw some light on this Instagram page @Take3forthesea, this page has inspired me a lot because of the message this page conveys which is just take 3 pieces of trash where ever you visit, be it beach or mountains or anywhere you go. 

Just imagine every person only carrying 3 pieces of trash with them, this will really #MakeSomeDifference.

With this being said lets start with our list of DOs and DON'Ts

DOs of Travel

1) Try Local Food- Always try to visit as much local cuisine restaurants as possible, you will learn more about the culture plus it is always polite to try local food.

2) Try to blend in- Try to wear clothes which are not too flashy and doesn't make it obvious that you are a tourist.

3) Pick up trash- You should not only focus on not throwing trash on the trails or roads but also try to pick up trash wherever you see. If everyone follows this it can actually make a good impact on the whole ecosystem, which is the need of an hour, period.

4) Carry a small bag- Above point lead me to this point, that is to always carry a small bag and keep your wrappers, plastic bottles and all the trash in that on bag because it is not necessary that you will found a dustbin or dumping ground everywhere.

5) Do proper research before leaving- one of the most important things to do is gather some knowledge about the place you are planning to visit as it will give you an idea about that place, every place has some different culture and also there are some places where you cannot go alone and last thing that one will want is to get stuck in an unknown city!

DON'Ts of Travel

1) Do not stack all cash at one place- This is one mistake which i made once, if you are visiting to a place where there is no ATM machine and you have to have some cash then DO NOT keep all cash at one place.

2) Do not pack heavy- Try to keep your luggage as light as possible, especially if you're travelling solo, pack clothes which can wore multiple times.

3) Do not carry a trolley bag if you are going to trek- I can not emphasize on this point enough, I have seen so many people doing this, please carry a travel bagpack because taking that trolley everywhere will surely give you hardest time, and who wants that on a vacation, right?

4) Do not stick to touristy places- There are always some touristy places but I would recommend to places which are less explored, find a trail and who knows you might find a beautiful spot in an unknown land.

5) Do not accept drinks from a stranger- It is important to see whom you are interacting with and NEVER accept drink from a stranger and never lose sight of your drink. We tend to become a little carefree when we are on a trip but it is always wise to be aware of people and surroundings around you.
